DISCOVERY RANCH, which is located in the peaceful countryside 1¼ hours east of Regina near Grenfell, Sk. Canada, provides EAGALA model equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP) and equine assisted learning (EAL) to youth, adults, families and groups seeking fast, effective mental and emotional healing as well as learning. EAP/EAL is a growing discipline that addresses a variety of mental health and human development needs including behavioral issues, attention deficit disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, abuse issues, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and communication needs.
Equine assisted learning employs experiential ground based activities. A mental health professional and an equine specialist work with clients using creative activities designed to address specific learning or educational goals for that individual or group.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), which incorporates horses experientially for emotional growth and learning, is a powerful and effective therapeutic approach that has an incredible impact on individual clients, youths, families or groups.
